{"id":87,"date":"2013-03-06T13:59:22","date_gmt":"2013-03-06T13:59:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chirurgean.net\/?p=87"},"modified":"2018-02-11T13:06:55","modified_gmt":"2018-02-11T13:06:55","slug":"201336ascension-day-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chirurgean.net\/?p=87","title":{"rendered":"Ascension day 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tuesday 5th March 2013<\/p>\n<p>Up early at 07.00 to see the turtles. &nbsp;They nest on Long Beach with the season Dec to Jul and can return to the beach up to 6 times to lay their eggs.<\/p>\n<p>Wasn&#8217;t sure how to get there, but followed my sense of direction across crunchy lava gravel and got there.<\/p>\n<p>It was a scene from the Somme. &nbsp;Craters everywhere, with tracks leading to the ocean. &nbsp;It seems that I was not in time.
